Most weddings include the traditional dances, bride and groom, mother of the groom, father of the bride dance, and wedding party dance. For these special dances you’ll want to select the songs carefully and choose music that is meaningful. The songs should reflect the relationship of the people dancing, so if the bride and groom are not going to perform a routine, they might want to choose a song that they both like or have a special connection to.
The amount of songs you could dance to at your wedding are limitless. There is everything from classic rock, R&B, and Reggae songs to the hits of today. Whatever you choose to dance to, you should sit down with your music provider and be sure that they have the songs you want to hear or are able to get the songs if they are not currently available.
A professional DJ service should call you one month before your wedding at least to go over the final song list. If you don’t hear from your DJ at this time I would give them a quick call before too much time goes by.
